King of the Plains

This is my first painting of a Lion. It is my favourite painting to date, even though it is one of my oldest. This was probably the first painting I have been proud of, and am still proud of years later. I call it King of the Plains because the lion seems revered and majestic in this painting.

This painting was done with Acrylic paints and Pastel Pencils for more rough areas, such as the grass in the background. It was painted in 2002 (when I was 11 years old) and has been sold. It currently resides in Auckland, NZ.
